Hi Everybody,We have now left Thailand for the Perhentian Islands of Malaysia,Wow crystal clear waters, golden sands, the lot.
We have all passed our Open Water Diving Certification and are loving the new world under the water with our first Leapard SHARK (harmless),Turtles,Moray Eels and squillions of fish.Connor encountered a Trigger Fish , fairly aggressive and with reasonably big teeth which when scared raises it's dorsel fin as a warning, this one did and decided to attack his fins, not his fingers, luckily. Connor and I have also finished our Advanced O/W, clearing us for 21mtr and 30mtr depths respectivly. We have dived at a wreck, which started at 6mtr to 18mtr down, It was a massive 90mtr long and 40mtr wide, swimming through the cargo hold and bridge,it was magic and spooky at the same time, seeing Bamboo SHARKS (harmless) and beautiful,Puffer Fish, Squid and more.
Janice and Chloe dived at a location called D'Lagoon in pouring rain, big swells in what was the size of a small row boat, Chloe looked like she had hyperthermia when she came up(although the water temp was 30 degrees +)(go figure).Janice was unimpressed with the fact that there was no ladder to get out of the large swells and had to be dragged aboard by the divemaster whilst the mad boat driver laughed manically.
We have all also had the pleasure of twice snorkling with Black Tip Reef SHARKS,Yes real looking sharks at 1.5mtr to 2mtr long, that can become very territorial if they wanted.
WE have now moved on to the mainland and are staying in Kota Baru prepairing to venture down to Kuala Lumpa via Kuala Lipis and the jungle railway, then on the way to Singapore to drink Singapore Slings at Raffles and to the best Zoo in the world in time for Connor's B/Day and swim in the Aquarium with BULL SHARKS and others, Gulp,Shiver Shiver,Oh Er Mrs.
Keep an eye on the news, as a guy was killed on "our" Perhentian Island Resort while snorkling.
Maybe its us next in the Aquarium !!!!!!!!!! Jan says she not swimming now !!
Pic's to follow.
